!!! I've made it just to start developing it again LOL :D !!!
You need just 3 things:
1) plastic container
2) any type of vinegar
3) salt
Better results are with sea salt and adding a bit of backing soda.

Steps:
Add vinegar to the plastic container (enough so you can easily cover the item), add salt till it stops getting dissolved and then just put the copper item in the solution. You can gently rub with a sponge or toothbrush or a cloth. Then just rinse under water.
