For Rangers Ultramarathon 2024 - A multi-day stage race across Kenya.

The For Rangers Ultramarathon is a multi-day stage race through five wildlife conservancies in Kenya. But it's so much more than just a running race...
Rhinos in Africa are critically endangered, facing threats from poaching (driven by the illegal trade in rhino horns), habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. Wildlife rangers play a crucial role in protecting rhinos. Their dedication and courage is key to the survival of this keystone species, and to ensure Rhino preservation for future generations.
In September 2024, 100 runners and walkers from all corners of the globe travelled to Kenya to raise money for the Rangers, and to raise awareness of the plight of the remaining African Rhinos.
I entered the race to help the cause, and in search of a unique adventure, but I came away with so much more! This is our story as told from a Kiwi runner's perspective.
