Jesuit High School of Tampa - Convocation - Mike Scicchitano '01 - 9-10-24

Jesuit High School principal and acting president Mike Scicchitano '01 addressed the student body at Convocation on Sept. 10, 2024 – 125 years after the school opened its doors the following day in 1899.

Sept. 11, 1899 was the first day for what was then known as Sacred Heart College, as five students matriculated at the downtown campus (21 students by the end of the school year). Scicchitano highlighted many of the key dates, remarkable facts, and milestone events marking Jesuit High School of Tampa's extraordinary 125-year legacy.

The Convocation presentation by Scicchitano, and the cookies & milk served up to all 866 students afterward outside the Chapel of the Holy Cross by the Jesuit Mothers' Club, are part of what will be a year-long celebration of the school's 125th anniversary.
