Eerie ambient improv on the Sh-4d featuring the Orbit visual arpeggiator

Описание к видео Eerie ambient improv on the Sh-4d featuring the Orbit visual arpeggiator

I recorded slightly eerie ambient improv using the Roland SH-4d's orbit visual arpeggiator. It comes in about halfway through the tune. I applied it to a pluck tone I designed using the Juno 106 oscillator model.

The sequence for this part was randomized over 32 steps, with only the first 16 containing actual notes. All the steps containing notes had a probability of 67%.

Applying the orbit visual arpeggiator to the cutoff of the pluck resulted in it become more sparse, and a little more radical in its brilliance.

I also discovered I could manipulate another part, in this case the drone bass on part 4, using the control knobs while the visual arpeggiator was active.
