Winter finally seems to be retreating from the national capital with maximums settling a couple of notches above the season’s average. Tomorrow maximum temperature will settle at 27°C. Night will be cool but still above the monthly normal of 10.2 degrees.
The fresh Western Disturbance affecting North India has given heavy snow in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir, while middle and lower reaches received widespread moderate rainfall.Though Delhi will remain on the fringes of the system, we cannot rule out the possibility of very light rain on 18th night or 19th morning. Cloudy sky and light rain will lead to further rise in minimumsbut some relief from high day temperatures could be expected.
Some precipitation was witnessed in Srinagar, Gulmarg, Banihal, Batote and other places in the state.
The system has also affected weather over the plains of Punjab and Haryana. Isolated parts of these states have received very light rainfall yesterday.
In wake of the system, maximum temperatures are expected to come down from today onwards.
In the eastern part of the country, Kolkata received some rain in last 24 hours. But weather has turned almost dry now. Tomorrow, maximum and minimum temperatures will maintain levels.
It's hot and humid in Mumbai. Tomorrow we can expect mainly clear sky. The sun could be harsh during afternoon hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be 32 and 17 degrees respectively.
