In a game that saw both Mitchell Twins and Jason Gibson foul out, it was Sidwell senior guard Dean Mazlish who became an instant hero as he sunk a buzzer beater three in overtime to stun defending DCSAA champion and #1 seed Wilson. On the prior play Sidwell hit what appeared to be the buzzer beater three but one ref granted Wilson a timeout, while another ref raised both hands and appeared to rule the shot good. After meeting the refs put 6.9 seconds on the clock before Mazlish's magic. Jason Gibson was named MVP although Mazlish will always be remembered as the games hero.
