Visconti Van Gogh Collection Overview｜ Available at Appelboom

The Van Gogh is a colourful collection of the Italian brand Visconti. The collection is named after the famous Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh. Van Gogh lived in the 18th century and was a post-impressionist painter. He created over 2100 pieces of art in his life, most of them were oil paintings like landscapes, portraits, still lifes and self-portraits. Visconti selected 12 of his art works and created matching writing instruments.

Box:
The Van Gogh pens are offered in a triangle box which is covered with brown imitation leather. The top of the box is embossed with the Visconti logo which looks quite elegant. If you open the box you see, besides the writing instrument, a copy of the artwork which the pen is based on. This type of boxing makes the Van Gogh collection a unique gift for every art lover.

Materials:
The Visconti Van Gogh is made of natural variegated resin which gives a beautiful color combination and swirls on the cap and barrel of the pen. So the pens are not just a plain color, but have several highlights in it in the same colour combination Van
gogh used for his paintings. Because of this great technique each writing instrument is unique and has its own pattern, so there are never two of the same coloured pens. What is quite fascinating about the Van Gogh is the faceted sides of the pen. It is done very subtle but you can feel the octadecagon shape once you have the pen in your hands



Editions. (colour options)
It started with the Sunflowers which is yellow/orange with green sprinkles, the Room in Arles which is brown with orange and rust red shades, and the Starry Night which is mostly blue
with some yellow and orange veins. After that they launched the Portrait in Blue which is dominantly light blue-turquoise with some reddish stripes and (one of his most famous paintings), the colourful Pollard Willows which is brown and green with
multicolour stripes and Irises (a beautiful light green pen with yellow and violet highlights) and recently the Pair of Shoes hit the market which is beige with black and
grey sprinkles. So 7 pens are already available, the other 5 who are not released yet are: Dr. Gauchet, which is gray and blue, melted with light blue and brown. Orchard in blossom - view of Arles: in pale blue - lavander blue with rosy shadings. Vincent's
Chair: acid yellow with greenish and blueish streaks. Gauguin's chair: dark blue- gree nwith beige and burgundy veins. Pine trees: mixed deep green orange and yellow

Nib options
The nib on the Visconti Van Gogh is stainless steel and it has the Visconti name engraved on it together with some nice endorsements. The nib is available in Fine, Medium and Broad. It is also possible, as an option, to have the famous 23kt palladium Dreamtouch nib of Visconti on the Van Gogh. This nib costs a little more, but writes more smoothly compared to the stainless steel version. The 23kt palladium nib is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad.

Dimensions:
The Visconti Van Gogh is in size comparable with the Visconti Rembrandt. The pen is 34 grams. Uncapped the pen is only 24 gram, so the cap is about 10 gram. The barrel of the pen measures 124mm, whit the cap on the end of the pen the
length is 158mm.
