A SOC Analyst must have technical experience in Security information and event management software such as Endpoint Security and IPS as well as a strong understanding of Firewalls and Proxy networks.

SOC Analysts must have a degree and training in computer engineering, cryptography, network engineering or computer science.

They must have security certification clearance and should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security Analysis or an equivalent role.

As for the fee, an experienced Analyst can cost between $3,200 - $4,600 AUD per month.
