Candy Apple TV: How To Make Candy Apples Without a Thermometer is very possible and actually very fun. Have you ever tried to make candy apples without a candy thermometer? When I first tried my hands at making candy apples I didn't have a candy thermometer and most people don't just have a candy thermometer sitting around in their kitchen.....lol. This is a great technique if you ABSOLUTELY do NOT have a candy thermometer.

The following are the directions on how to make candy apples without a candy thermometer:

1. Pour freezing cold water into a glass or measuring cup.
2. When your candy seems like it's calming down during the boiling process, go ahead and drop a few drops of the candy apple recipe mixture in the water.
3. If your candy is hard and brittle, it’s ready to dip. If it's cloudy you need to continue cooking your candy until your candy gets hard and brittle in the cold water.
