The Urgency of Bitcoin Education: Why Black Organizations Must Catch Up with the Future of Money

In this powerful episode of the Genius & Smart Guy Limited podcast, we discuss a pivotal moment at the National Urban League conference in New Orleans where the conversation on Bitcoin and the evolution of money was glaringly absent. While presidential candidates like Trump and RFK were championing Bitcoin at the 2022 Bitcoin Conference, I found myself asking a crucial question: Why aren’t we, as a community, discussing the future of money?

As a CPA and member of the Black Bitcoin Billionaires, I’ve seen firsthand how financial literacy, especially around emerging technologies like blockchain and Bitcoin, is vital in the fight against poverty. But when I raised this issue to the leadership of the Urban League, the response was disappointing. Despite the importance of this conversation, the urgency isn’t being recognized. This episode is a call to action for our community leaders to educate themselves and others on the financial tools that could shape our future.
