My father and I went to the Eastwood car show in Pottstown, PA last Saturday, July 22, 2023. We arrived soon before the start of the show, and inadvertently got in line with the car show participants. I wasn't planning to be in the show, but it just kind of happened. Had I known, I would have spent some extra time detailing my car the previous day.
As you will see, my dad is quite a character and has a lot of knowledge about a lot of the cars at the show. We met some interesting people and he had some great conversations with them all. I had a few as you'll see, but I was mostly focused on where to aim the camera.
I mostly used a DJI Action 2 camera for this video. To keep it from overheating, I had it set to 2.7k resolution and 50fps. I used my Insta360 Go2 for some scenes. I didn't process some of the Go2 footage properly, so some of the footage appears to be aimed at the ground. Unfortunately, I deleted the raw video before I realized this. I tried to correct it with zooming which helped but left the footage a bit on the grainy side.
I also had a dashcam that was on throughout the day. In the video, I switch to this footage when there is an issue with any camera that wasn't recording.
For the audio, we are both wearing Niohura Dual Wireless Lavalier Microphones. These worked out pretty well, but are somewhat limited in range. When I was too far from my dad, I switch to the audio from one of the cameras.
This video was edited and rendered in 4k with Techsmith Camtasia software.
It was a fun day, it's a long video, but there are some really cool cars to see. I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you very much for watching.
