Flying with Nickelback Drummer Daniel Adair | Radio Chatter

Описание к видео Flying with Nickelback Drummer Daniel Adair | Radio Chatter

Daniel Adair (Nickelback, 3 Doors Down, Martone, etc.) is one of the most successful drummers you'll ever find - his multi-platinum rhythmic capabilities are offset only by his neighbourly down-to-earth energy. But how well can he showcase multi-tasking dexterities at 10,000 feet? (Spoiler alert: pretty damn well, Daniel is also a pilot!)

Watch Daniel hit the airwaves with me (Mat) over Garibaldi Lake, BC where we chat drumming, the music industry, flying, and Nickelback memes.

Note: Episode was filmed in July 2021 and released May 2022 - new music and tour dates are coming soon, stay tuned!

Thanks

Sal Chawla, Nathan Olivo, and Jared Olivo – your editing has really put the magic into the finished production. There's so much more to an episode than what it might seem like from the outside, and I couldn't be more grateful to work with a team who understands and knows how to craft a beautiful story. Thanks for all the late nights editing - this one was really special. Check out Sal if you need to tell an amazing story (especially if you're around Vancouver): https://sahilchawlafilms.com/

Danny Gayfer for spending the entire day coming our and flying to and from Vancouver with me to shoot this episode. The footage speaks for itself and the photos? Sheeeesh - you took quite possibly the best photo I've ever seen taken from an airplane (the one of the small aqua blue glacier lake nestled between the mountains with clear skies in the background) - it literally makes me emotional when I look at it. Thanks man. If you need talented production (especially on Vancouver island) - please check out: https://www.runegatestudio.com/

The folks in my network whose belief in me and quick thinking made intros happen that lead to this episode hitting the airwaves. You know who you are - and it means the world. Thank you.

Emily Johnston from Artio Design Co. for the insane visuals/creative branding (please check out for any design needs: https://bit.ly/RCArtio)

Daniel... you're one of a kind man. You might just be the most approachable celebrity I've ever met. Thanks for coming flying, I should have got you flying for some of the questions but I think I was just too focussed on nailing each question! So stoked to finally get this out - and for the record, I'm gonna stick to Clif Bars - the RX Bar you MAILED me after (still hilarious) helped me learn that I have a mild allergy to dates. Let's go flying again soon, man!

Nickelback fans everyone (and shoutout r/Nickelback) - no matter what the world says at any point in time, Nickelback will always be a global force and your energy can be felt from sea to sea. You made for the most enjoyable research process I've ever experienced - You blew up my DMs with your enthusiasm, you shared pictures and stories I never would have found on my own, and you held me accountable in getting this released. Thanks a lot – rock on.

About:

Not for training purposes. Editing removes context – all radio calls are made, checklists complete, and aviation laws adhered to during production. Interview content is captured during non-critical phases of flight in uncontrolled airspace with very little air traffic while maintaining a vigilant traffic lookout and close listening watch on the radio. Safety first!
