7 days aboard The Carlos II with the Central Coast Sea Lions in The Swains. This footage shows the rich diversity of corals and fish in and around the hundred of reefs that form this part of the Great Barrier Reef. Spearfishing remains the most sustainable form of fishing. We took only what we wanted to eat and had negligible impact on this amazing habitat. It's hard to convey the significant effort and energy it takes to dive for 7-8 hours a day in the currents, climbing in and out of boats and looking for the best fish at depth. It was a privilege to dive and share this place with such great people.
