A 1-credit clear of TH Strikes Back, also known as Thunder Hoop 2. Arcade game played with MAME 0.212. Final score: 5,559,464. This game is really something - like watching an Ed Wood movie! There's the Gokou-like protagonist, the bosses that make the elephant sound effect from Street Fighter 2 each time they're hit, the inflating and exploding enemies, the outrageous character designs, and the final boss with a million hit points... I think it's in the same arcade weirdness league as Trio The Punch or Pulirula.

This isn't a no-miss; I lose one of my two lives to the "minecart" section on the last stage. The jumps between moving platforms take some practice, and the right spacing for one will get you killed on another.

The last boss is the hardest part of the game. Here's a tip: Run under the first two missiles in the set, and as soon as it starts arc down, jump back and away from the boss. It's tight but this is almost always a safe jump. If you encounter weird spacing or back-to-back missile volleys...hopefully you've saved your special attack and can panic-bomb by hitting button 3!
