France has the best geography in all of Europe, and here's how.

For starters, many major rivers flow through the country, and this has allowed agricultural industries to flourish in France.

On top of that, France is protected on almost all sides by strong natural borders. In the northwest, France has the English channel, a body of water separating France from England.

To the west and south are the Atlantic Ocean and the Pyrenees mountains, separating France from Spain.

The mediterranean sea, the Alps, and the Rhine offer more protection from the threat of invasion.

However, this remaining stretch of land is France’s only weakness: a massive plain which allows armies to easily invade through this region.

All the way back in World War II, France had constructed the Maginot Line, a manmade line of defense that was built to protect France from Germany in the event of a war. However, when they started building the Belgian section, it was already too late. The Germans invaded France by marching through the ardennes region of Belgium, which was under defended.

Within the past 80 years, France has expanded their diplomatic relations, and Germany is no longer a threat.
