In this video dr.Isacc Abbas has explained the science behind menstrual blood clots

Many women, experience, menstrual clots.
Menstrual fluid contains approximately 40 ml of blood and 35 ml of serous fluids
that are secreted in the uterus endometrium layer.
So around 75-80 ml of menstrual fluid is released in one cycle.

Fibronylisin enzyme is also released in the fluid which prevents this fluid from clotting.
If there is excessive bleeding, then this enzyme will be insufficient resulting in blood clots.
In order to stop excessive bleeding , regular exercises should be done to regulate estrogen and progesterone hormones.
Protein rich foods should be taken, as this enzyme fibrinolysin is made up of proteins.
More iron is lost during heavy bleeding making the person tired and weak.So More of green leafy vegetables which are rich in iron along with vitamin C rich foods should be taken, as vitamin C would increase the absorption of iron.
