Grant Stone Brass Boot

Here I unbox my Grant Stone Brass Boots in Chrome Excel Black Horween leather. I ordered too large (9eee) initially. I ordered the second as 8.5E which fit perfectly. My Brannock measurement is about 9.75E(wide), but I was concerned about width since my Nick's 8.5E was way too tight in width. Thus the 9EEE order initially (Grant Stone doesn't have 9EE). Grant Stone ships within a week and on the re-size order, I received it in less than a week, with return postage label paid by them. Cost was about $408 taxed/shipped. The quality of these shoes are extraordinary. Compared to other decent quality leather shoes like Allen Edmonds, these are another level up in quality. Though they are manufactured in southeastern China, The craftsman received detailed extensive training in midwestern style of leather working and boot-making by the founder for over 8 years and the results are definitely superior to other all-USA boots like Red Wing, and possibly superior to shoes made by Alden.
