The song is for that one person who works towards being a hero, from his unsuccessful days to his glorious days, you know. But for BNHA, I thought that there are these 2 people: All Might who started out does not know about his successor, Izuku; and Izuku who always looks up to him. Maybe we can look at it this way, In Hercules, the young Herc has always aimed towards being a hero with his name in the stars, right? He's always looked towards this image of a hero in his mind and striven to be that person, that's Izuku. Now both Izuku & All Might are trying their hardest to make that come true. To me, the current image of All Might in the past 2 seasons is Izuku's final goal, it is what he's going to be. That's also the reason for the choice All Might made in the first place in order to carry out his will, right? He chose someone who could understand what he is, what he wants, and bring forward his image, his own self. Just like in the story, we need both of them to understand the hardship and distance a true hero needs to go through (Izuku) and the success and protection they bring to the world (All Might). I guess what I wanted to say is that I am sort of looking at them not as one person as "the hero" here, I'm looking at them as a symbol and the concept of being "the hero"; that's something I was trying to describe in my video.
