To Make Aravana Payasam

Jaggery - 1.5 cups
Ghee
Water -1cup
Coconut Pieces - 1/2cup
Few Cashew Nuts
Red Rice - 1 Cup
Dry Ginger Powder - 2 Tsp

Method:

1. Wash the rice a few times with water and transfer it to a cooker and in a low flame cook for 1 whistle
2 Take water and jaggery in a saucepan. Boil the water until jaggery is completely melted.
3. Add ghee to a pan and roast the fresh coconut bits
4. Add ghee again to the pan and roast the cashews until they are golden brown in colour. K
5. onces he rice is cooked ,Strain the melted jaggery syrup into the pan and mix well.
6. Add the dry ginger powder and mix it all well.
7. Add ghee, mix and cook until the mixture is s bit thickened.
8. Add the roasted coconut bits and cashews. Mix well.
9 .let it cool down for 1 hour
