Not all amps made it to Australia. It's not uncommon for a lot of US made amps to have made it here to Australia, often operating with a heavy and bulky Step-Down transformer, allowing us Aussie's to enjoy rare or vintage amps by operating them at their designed 110-120V AC. However, my mate was sick and tired of carrying around an already heavy amp with even more weight added to it.

So he ordered a 240V AC replacement transformer, and we stuck that in to allow the amp to continue to operate correctly, while having it run on 240V, eliminating the need for a step-down transformer. Yay! Convenience and weight savings!
