Weymouth, Dorset Uk: Preston Beach offers some good fishing

#Weymouth preston beach offers some good fishing for anglers because the waters is shallow. However, in the winter, these tend to be small whiting with some occasional rocklings thrown in while, during the summer, there seem to be more pout than anything else.

This is a shingle beach which stretches from Greenhill to Bowleaze Cove, a short distance from #Weymouth. The waters here are relatively shallow and a reef lies quite close to the shore. The beach offers some good fishing and is popular with sea anglers and dog walkers. It is much less busy than many of Weymouth’s other beaches.

A gentle stroll from the beach is the Weymouth’s historic harbour overlooked by quaint restaurants, cafes and craft shops, with only a short stroll to the town’s high street and shopping centre. Whether to experience a bucketful of fun, get your feet wet, or just soak up the sun, Weymouth beach is the perfect place to be.

The adjoining shingle beaches at Greenhill and Preston offer a quieter option, away from the bustle of Weymouth resort beach with access to various water sports at Overcombe and #Bowleaze Cove further around the bay.
