Testing the PVC Gold Trap with fine gold and black sand only. 25 pounds of black sand was reduced to 1 pound. 100% of gold larger than 50 mesh was retained, and 88% of the gold smaller than 50 mesh was retained. If you make one, don't forget to bevel the glued end of the horizontal pipe for a "no gap" glue-up fit (so gold empties out).
