How to Apply FerroPaint® with Magnet Expert.

Our 'how to' guide tells you everything you need to know about applying FerroPaint® and creating a magnetic wall.

For clarity, here are the points within the video:

Firstly, we show you exactly what you need. This includes: FerroPaint®, roller tray, stirring stick, dust sheet, short nap roller, masking tape, sand paper and a cloth.

Next, you need to prepare your surface by laying a dust sheet, sanding and cleaning the wall and masking any adjoining walls.

Before applying FerroPaint®, please mix the paint for 3-5 minutes to ensure the fine iron particles are well mixed in with the paint.

Once you are ready to paint, use a short nap roller to apply FerroPaint® to the wall. We recommend a minimum of 3 coats, with 4 hours between coats 1-2 and 2-3. When you have applied your final coat, wait 24 hours for the wall to fully dry.

Optional Step - Once the wall has dried, paint over our charcoal FerroPaint® with your own colour of emulsion; the wall will remain magnetic.

Now it's time to get creative. Use your magnetic wall with your favourite neodymium or flexible magnets for the best magnetic attraction.

We recommend using FerroPaint® around the home, particularly in children's bedrooms, kitchens and hallways! FerroPaint® works great in schools and offices too by creating a space you can interact and engage with.
