Gloria's Step - Live with Scott LaFaro's Prescott Bass

Here is a video from my CD release party at the Kitano Jazz Club in NYC. The recording is titled RE: Person I Knew - A Tribute to Scott LaFaro, and features Don Friedman on piano (and also an old roommate of Scott's!) and Eliot Zigmund on drums (former Bill Evans trio alumna).

Barrie Kolstein graciously allowed me to take the LaFaro Prescott bass out of his shop for a week to record the CD. However, it was a true surprise when he called me up to ask if I wanted to use the bass for the release party weekend at the Kitano! Of course I accepted, and made sure that I charged up all my camera batteries for the event- the first gig the bass has been on since 1961. It's a dream come true for me!
