TUNGNATH : The Highest Shiva Temple in World । Chopta Tungnath Trek in March 2022 | Tungnath Temple

Visiting Tungnath Temple in Uttarakhand which is Highest Shiva temple in world was one of my many travel dream. I reached Chopta from Delhi in afternoon & spent rest of the day exploring local things. Next morning I started my trek at 6 and reached the temple at 9AM. Tungnath trek is 4km long and not as easy as many people have written. The main temple is closed in winter but trek is open in all season. There are small homestays & tents in Chopta where you can stay if you are planning to trek to Tungnath.

Tips about Trek :
- start the trek as early as possible in morning
- carry extra water as water is not available at Tungnath in off seasons
- carry energy bar, food items & warm cloths
- please do not leave plastic behind
- carry proper trek equipment if there is snowfall
- kindly follow all rules & guidelines of Temple
