We learn a lot by comparing ourselves to someone or something else. It's how we establish "normal' is. Social media is the perfect example of this. Where else do we have access to countless people's lives: what they're doing, how they look, how they act. It's easy to get caught up in the curated narrative we all seem to strive to achieve while going along the herd. To survive online, it's almost best to fake complacency.

This story, told through the main character's perspective, is an exploration of the struggles of perceived social norms while being complacent and the potential dangers they impose on mental and physical well being.

Our main character battling substance abuse, depression and anxiety, is desperate to fit in. Not fitting in he tries hard to do what he thinks is expected of him, but are these people he's trying to emulate just doing the same?
