Where can you get the best Fish & Chips in Porthcawl?
In this series, we’ll be trying our local chip shops starting with The Boathouse on Porthcawl’s Seafront.

There’s only one place to get proper fish and chips and that’s by the seaside.
Never mind Gordon Ramsay’s fish and chips in Las Vegas, the best way is out of the wrappers overlooking the sea with the chips doused in salt and vinegar, not forgetting the curry sauce.

This is a light-hearted review of the local fish and chip shops and as mentioned the first one we visit is The Boathouse because it was the closest to our house.

For all chips shops and in future reviews we’ll be ordering the same items, cod and chips and a curry sauce.

The Boathouse Fish Bar can be found on the Esplanade in Porthcawl and they do have a restaurant section. As well as Fish and Chips they sell quite a few vegan options.

In the following videos, we will be visiting all the chip shop of Porthcawl and giving our opinion. This is our personal opinion and we pay for all food ourselves and are not associated with any of the chip shops.
