Taiwan launched its largest-ever war drill on July 9, mobilising 22,000 reservists for combat training amid rising tensions with China. The 10-day Han Kuang exercise simulates a full-scale Chinese attack, including cyber strikes and missile hits on Taiwan’s command systems. HIMARS launchers, Sky Sword missiles, and naval deployments were featured across the island. Footage showed 300 reservists training in an abandoned school, part of Taiwan’s decentralisation response in case of a communication blackout.
