Fullerton 2nd Alarm commercial fire

FULLERTON: On 01-22-24 at 1:23pm, Fullerton fire department responded to the 1700 block of W Orangethorpe Ave regarding a commercial structure fire. Units arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire on a two story abandoned commercial building. Units upgraded the response to a 2nd alarm and neighboring agencies from Anaheim and OCFA responded to the scene to assist. Fullerton PD was requested to assist with traffic control. Firefighters went into defensive mode due to the structural stability. Firefighters were able to gain control of the fire with no injuries reported at the time. A drone was requested to the scene to assist with surveying the scene. The structure did collapse on the inside during the fire fight.
