Most marketers today know that large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google Gemini are changing how people search, but very few understand why LLM visibility matters right now. The truth is simple: if your brand is not showing up in AI answers, you are already losing ground to competitors. In this short video I break down the two most important reasons why LLM visibility is critical for every marketer, brand, and business leader.

Reason 1: AI answers are becoming a priority in search results
Google, Bing, and other major search engines are making AI Overviews and AI answers the centerpiece of their search experience. These answers appear above traditional blue links and increasingly reduce the visibility of organic search results. That means even if you rank well in SEO today, your website could be pushed down below an AI generated answer tomorrow. Companies that get cited in these AI answers will own the new “top of page” position in search visibility.

Reason 2: AI referred traffic converts 23 times better
Ahrefs data shows that visitors who arrive from AI search or AI recommendations convert at 23x higher rates compared to traditional organic search visitors. Right now, AI traffic volumes are lower than search engine traffic, but the quality of that traffic is far superior. When users see a brand mentioned inside a trusted AI response, the level of confidence and recall is much higher. Even if only a small percentage click through, many others remember the brand and return later via search or direct visits. This halo effect is why conversion rates are dramatically better.

Today AI traffic is a fraction of total traffic. But search behavior is shifting fast, and as AI recommendation systems become mainstream, the volume of AI driven traffic will rise quickly. When that happens, the brands already getting cited will have an unbeatable advantage. They will capture the highest converting traffic in the market, while late adopters will be left fighting for scraps in the traditional search results.
