American Pie - Don McLean - Bass Cover - Request

Описание к видео American Pie - Don McLean - Bass Cover - Request

Hello :)

This is the requested transcription I did of the Don McLean song "American Pie". This comes from his 1971 album with the same name. Bob Rothstein (Rob Stoner) was the bass player on this track.

This transcription can be found at https://www.muzento.com under Advanced - Learning Songs subject.

This is one of those songs where I've heard it a bunch of times, but never really listened to the bass part before. It's a lot busier than what I thought it was! I like the rhythms he used and how he subdivided the beat. I think it really helps push the song along and adds to the energy.

This would be fun to play with a band, but the band would kind of need to have their stuff together to play with it. It's a fairly quick tempo and there's lots of energy. Everyone would need to really stay focused on keeping the tempo and intensity up.

The rhythms and most of the lines by themselves are at an Intermediate level, but I think the tempo, stamina and focus needed to get through the whole song puts it at more of an Advanced level.

What a nice song and great lyrics. I enjoyed working on this one. Thanks Bob ;)

I hope you enjoy it :)

Don't forget to like and subscribe and thanks for watching :)
