Monet, the Artist, Master of Light and Color

Claude Monet really needs no introduction, his series of canvases covering the Seine, Poplars, London's Waterloo Bridge, and his famous Lily Pond series are world-renowned. He was given the title as a rebuff of 'Impressionist', but over time it became a badge of Honor, not only for Monet only, but for Degas, Pissarro, Renoir, and others. Their group while being often refused at the yearly Salons did not stop them from finding their own way. In time each painter would be lauded for their individual efforts. Monet still rides high with his timeless productions.
