Introduction of Professors - Tongmyong University 2023-2 Semester Orientation

Dongmyeong University held an orientation for foreign new students for the 2023-2 semester at the Central Library Auditorium on September 21 at 10:00 AM. Approximately 300 participants, including new international students from countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and professors, attended the event. The orientation included academic information necessary for international students' university life and various entertaining performances. Particularly, lively K-Pop performances by local artists and energetic K-Dance performances by Tongmyong University's dance club, along with a spectacular Taekwondo performance by the K-Sports Taekwondo Department students, received enthusiastic cheers and applause from the international students.

During this event, President Jeon Ho-hwan emphasized, "Foreign students should no longer just acquire degrees in Korea and return to their home countries. They should be fostered into excellent talents who work and settle in Korea after graduation, becoming the second citizens of the country." Tongmyong University is making efforts to attract and accommodate foreign exchange students, aiming to fill half of the student body with international students within the next few years, in conjunction with the establishment of the International College, a college dedicated to foreign students.
