Murkrat is a doom metal band from New South Wales, Australia, founded by multi-instrumentalist Mandy VKS Cattleprod, the former vocalist of Lycanthia. Mandy has also done backing vocals for the Australian black metal project Reverend Kriss Hades. Murkrat's first release was the Murky Ratmass demo, self-released in 2007. 2008 saw the release of Murkrat's self-titled debut album on the English label Aesthetic Death Records.
