Santa Cruz Trek - 4 DAYS Hiking in The Andes, Peru | Huascarán National Park | Tips included

We hiked through the SANTA CRUZ trek for 4 days in the Andes mountains, Peru. This hike is truly one of the most beautiful in the country and in the whole of Andes, taking us through deep valleys surrounded by towering peaks with glacier. See how it is like to hike the Santa Cruz Trek!

Useful information:
-The hike can be done in either direction, from Vaquería to Cashapampa or vice versa. The route we took from Vaquería to Cashapampa is slightly easier since Vaquería is at higher altitude than Cashapampa.
-There are several colectivos leaving from Yungay bus station to Vaquería in the morning. Yungay itself can be reached by public bus from Huaraz.
-From Cashapampa, there are colectivos, albeit infrequent, to Caraz, from where you can get a bus back to Huaraz.
-Note that it is easier to find a transport from Cashapampa to Caraz than from Vaquería to Yungay, making it more practical to do the hike from Vaquería to Cashapampa
-There are plenty of water sources (rivers and streams) along the way. Don't forget to bring a water filter.
-There is no possibility of lodgings or shops along the way and you can only camp and bring enough food for 4 days.
-The hike can also be done with an organized tour group.
