Set between the events of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child and Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, Freddy's Return: A Nightmare Reborn is a feature-length nonprofit fan production starring David Buczynski as Kevin Marks, a young man who was kidnapped and tortured as a child by Freddy Krueger, before Freddy was burned to death by a mob of angry parents. Although he was rescued by the detective that arrested Krueger, he was left scarred emotionally and psychologically, tormented for the rest of his life by the memory of what Freddy did to him.

Now, a weakened, desperate Freddy--trapped within his mother and locked away in the dream world following the events of Nightmare 5--has caught his scent, and wants to use Kevin's pain as a anchor to free himself. But something shields Kevin, some force blocks Freddy from finishing what he started so many years ago, and so he goes on a campaign of terror to break the one that got away once and for all.

Written and directed by Jason Korsiak, who appears as Freddy Krueger in the film, Freddy's Return also stars Jennifer Farr as Ashleigh Asoa, a Native American girl with mysterious ties to Kevin's past, Ashlly Lynn as Freddy's mother, Sister Mary Helena, and Justin Edwards as Memory Krueger, Freddy before he was burned to death.
