There’s plenty of new things to discover at Historic Canoa Ranch in Green Valley. the 4,800-acre ranch was purchased in 2001 by Pima County with voter-approved bond funds. Among the new features are a beautiful lake with walking paths and plenty of opportunities for birding, a 2.5-acre cienega built by Pima County’s Regional Flood Control District, a 6-acre pollinator garden that’s drawing even more migrating wildlife to the area. Gates are open seven days a week, 6 a.m.- 4 p.m.
