Video 7 of 7: Music is central to the story and characters in Bars and Measures, so, drawing a prompt asked during the production's first rehearsal at Mosaic, Psalm took the opportunity to discuss what artists and songs Idris is currently drawing inspiration from.

Idris Goodwin first met Psalmayene 24 (Psalm) years ago in the kitchen at Arena Stage. (Idris describes himself as “the living embodiment of Remy from Ratatouille.”) But Idris had known about Psalm long before, from the hip-hop theater movement’s roots in Washington, DC and the community at Howard University. Both now acclaimed playwrights and professed hip-hop heads, Psalm and Idris reconnected to talk about Mosaic Theater's production of Bars and Measures.
