In this task, we apply network security hardening to the Nautilus infrastructure in Stratos Datacenter by installing and configuring IPTables.
Our goal is to secure the Apache application running on port 5000 by blocking all incoming traffic except from the Load Balancer (LBR) host.

You’ll learn how to set up inbound firewall rules, allow selective access, and ensure rule persistence across system reboots — a critical real-world DevOps skill for protecting applications in production.

Task Summary

Requirements:
1️⃣ Install iptables and its dependencies on every app server
2️⃣ Block incoming traffic to port 5000 for all hosts except the LBR host
3️⃣ Ensure firewall rules remain after reboot (iptables persistence)
