New energy storage projects are coming on line at a rapidly increasing rate, and analysts project this trend to continue well into the future. But as new projects are planned, developers must consider what happens at the end of systems’ useful lives. In this webinar, the Energy Storage Association will host a discussion of key considerations for project decommissioning from a logistical and legal standpoint, as well as key considerations for the recycling and disposal of batteries and related equipment. We will also hear about new Department of Energy-supported programs to foster innovation in recycling, and what that will mean for ensuring future domestic supplies of the materials needed for new energy storage systems in the future.
