My Milwaukee M18 9ah battery went out. I decided to get a case from Amazon for around $25 along with harvesting a ton of 18650 cells from an e-bike that got warrantied. Almost new LG cells.
In the vid I explain a few things to watch out for.
1. Get some thicker gauge wire for the positive cable
2. Make sure the blades that connect to the charger or tool are loose enough to not keep the battery from docking correctly.
3. Peen or melt the knobs that hold the nickel sheets onto the plastic housing.
Here's what you need for the build:
1. Common sense
2. Basic understanding of how batteries work
3. T10, T8, Small Phillips head
4. Soldering Iron and flux ($25)
5. Spot Welder (Amazon $40)
