The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival when the full moon hangs high in the sky and families are reunited. As such, the festival is also known as the Reunion Festival. On the night of Mid-Autumn, families gather together to enjoy good food and great conversations, spending quality time with each other. The Chinese are fastidious about their food, and that is displayed to its fullest extent during the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival. There are seasonal desserts such as: Snow Skin Mooncake, Osmanthus-flavored Steamed Lotus Root, Kumquat Tea, Osmanthus and Red Bean Glutinous Rice Balls, Refreshing Pudding etc.

The project "Flavor of Mid-Autumn Festival - Chinese Culinary Culture Video Series" starts with simple and easy-to-make pastries and drinks in the form of short videos, supplemented by an overview of the Mid-Autumn Festival food culture introducing festive traditional food.

中秋节,是中国民间的传统节日,这一天,月亮圆满,阖家团圆,所以又称团圆节。中秋月夜,一家人团聚在一起,享受美食,谈天说地,共享天伦之乐。中国人对美食的讲究在中秋节阖家团圆之际体现得淋漓尽致,冰皮月饼、桂花糯米藕、金桔润肺茶、桂花红豆小圆子、清凉糕等时令甜点尤具特色。赏一轮明月,闻丹桂飘香。中国中秋的味道就是团圆、期盼的味道。“寻味中秋——美食文化系列视频”项目以短视频形式,从简单易懂的糕点和饮品入手,辅以中秋美食文化概述,介绍节庆美食与时令养生传统。
