Update: Watch Entitled Girl Destroy Her Life In 2 Years, and the System Let Her

What started out as a funny clip of someone arguing with a Judge many months ago, turned into a rabbit hole that led to a deeply troubling story of our broken system and failure intervene before it is to late for many people. Of the course of two years, Ms. Martinez has 89 hearings in the Washtanaw County Michigan Courts alone. I have a handful of the hearings from in front of Judge Simpson and Judge Slay that I will show you here. They present a pretty good picture at how arrests are made, then people are released with minimal consequences or treatment. Leading to them doing the same thing again and again.
It is an incredibly sad situation.
