Most people would argue sport sedans started in the 60’s or 70’s, however they’re forgetting one car before its time. The MG Magnette was the classic family sport sedan, with a powerful B series engine and a floor mounted 4 speed shifter, as well as sport tuned suspension and upgraded brakes. This little sedan proved itself in international rallies and quickly took off being a popular public purchase! This car appealed to driving enthusiasts who couldn’t be limited to a typical two-seater sports car.

EXTERIOR: Finished in a gorgeous French blue paint, the body is clean and straight, the fit and finish is exceptional. Being an older restoration, the paint has mild crows feet cracking starting. These Magnettes have a very appealing look with the Lucas lamps, the giant chrome MG grill and the chrome extended bumpers. All the chrome trim shines like new, there’s no rust. The glass is nice and clear and in great shape. It has the upgraded correct radial tires on the MG steel wheels with hubcaps.

INTERIOR: The cab is finished with a beautiful beige leather interior complimented by a gorgeous wood dash, and navy blue accent piping. The carpet matches the navy blue accent piping and in great shape. The wood dash is refinished nicely, all the knobs are nice and clean, it has an optional radio with an aftermarket stereo underneath the dash with speakers. The headliner is in great shape. The giant steering wheel is beautiful and has a working horn. Overall, the interior gives a luxury presence even though it's a 4-seater.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Upgraded with the more powerful B series 1798cc 4cyl MGB engine paired with twin carbs. Everything is nice and clean, the engine is painted nicely, it has a clean glossy engine bay. It is a more simplistic yet functional engine bay.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: the trunk compartment is complete, all clean solid metal painted blue, it has a spare tire, the tool kit with air pump. There’s also some literature, British license plates, front badge bar, and the original jack assembly also.

UNDERSIDE: Underneath the car is clean, the frame is painted the same French blue, floors are solid. It has rack and pinion steering, disc brakes in the front. It appears the front end components were taken apart and rebuilt. A nice single exhaust system is hung properly, and the rear suspension looks to be replaced.

This is arguably one of the first sport sedans introduced to the car world. This is a very clean, honest car that drives and handles nicely. It’s not your 200mph street racing machine, but it still is a blast to drive!

A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum.
