In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the British film producer shared that he and Robbie spend "24 hours a day" together. Ackerley explained that they don't separate business and pleasure; it all blends seamlessly.

He humorously noted that their only arguments are over whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better snacks, reflecting their respective Australian and British roots. Ackerley also joked about the lack of a strong sporting rivalry between Australia and England.

Robbie also talked about launching her new gin brand, Papa Salt, with Ackerley and friends. She mentioned that while the movie business is unpredictable, launching a brand feels more straightforward.

The couple, married in a private ceremony on Australia's Gold Coast in December 2016, generally keeps their personal life private. However, in November, Robbie, who had lost her voice, had Ackerley and her production partner, Josey McNamara, read her acceptance speech at Variety's Power of Women event. The trio co-founded LuckyChap Entertainment in 2014, producing films like I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, and Barbie.
