Wood Slicer Blade Upgrade | Install, Test, & Upgrade

Описание к видео Wood Slicer Blade Upgrade | Install, Test, & Upgrade

The right tool for the job makes all the difference and the same is true for bandsaw blades. When I initially refurbished my bandsaw, I bought a cheap $10 blade for it. It never worked quite right and quality of cut suffered. Initially I thought this was due to a poorly tensioned blade but after adjusting it, the quality of cut still left much to be desired.

My next troubleshooting step was to replace the blade and Marc Spagnuolo (The Wood Whisperer) recommended the Wood Slicer from Highland Woodworking. On install, it made an immediate difference. It cut through my test piece like butter and barely made contact with the thrust bearings. The best part is that the Wood Slicer blade was only $36, and in my book, is worth every penny.

If you have any questions, leave them in the comments section and I’ll make sure to get back to you. Otherwise, have a great weekend.

Thanks as always and be safe,

Josh
