Allow us to set the scene. It’s Christmas afternoon at Belchers Farm, and with dinner well and truly devoured, Team Girardo & Co. is firmly in the ‘lull’.

The pudding has been lit, crackers have been pulled, gifts have been exchanged and everybody is happily preoccupied. Everybody except one, who can’t help but wish he somebody else to play with. Cue one spectacular Subaru showdown…

If you’re a lifelong sufferer of the automotive bug like us, the chances are that, as a child, you’ll have woken one Christmas morning to a Scalextric set. The smell of burnt rubber and warm metal. The sound of hard plastic clattering across hard floors. Unadulterated joy. Bitter defeat. Nagging parents pleading for bedtime. It’s pure nostalgia, which is why we thought it was the perfect theme for our hotly-anticipated annual festive film – something you, our clients, friends and followers around the world, have been pestering us about for some time.
