Ufuk (Ufa), originally from Turkey and living in London, shares his experience of completing the 200-hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in India.

For him, the biggest challenge wasn’t only teaching — it was learning to trust his own voice, both as a teacher and as a person. With no background in philosophy, the depth of learning required time, reflection, and integration, making the process challenging yet deeply rewarding.

Being surrounded by so many like-minded people created a rare sense of confidence and clarity. Watching others grow also led him to reflect on the kind of teacher he wants to become. Supported by attentive and intuitive teachers, the journey became one of personal and professional growth.

Having visited India multiple times, Ufuk believes there is no better place to study yoga — the land, the culture, and the roots of the practice itself make the experience complete.
