At the stroke of midnight, we celebrated the start of a New Year! Sydney did this in style by lighting up the night sky with a spectacular twelve minute fireworks display. For the first time in a decade, Sydney Opera House also fired over 1,000 fireworks creating an even bigger celebration. The fireworks and Sydney Harbour Bridge Effect, which promised to be twice as big as previous years are always a well-kept secret until midnight on 31 December. This year's display featured a Citibank blue moment and some exciting new effects.
