The Land Of Golden Seeds

The Doyang and Dhansiri Valley, the Naga Hills, the Karbi Hills and the Barail are border region of Assam and Nagaland of the South East Asian Region in India, and is a home to different tribes and communities. From the time of the British colonization and until today the indigenous people have been subject to different human rights violations and displacement from their own land. The film explores the forgotten but evocative history, navigating through its present and searching for a “potential” future for its endangered multi-cultural heritage. The film under the broader genealogical context of Austro Asiatics, Tibeto- Burmese, and Indo-Aryans, investigates the foundation on which numerous ethnicities, tribes, and cultures persisted in North East India.
The film chronicles the life of the people in the region with some special light on its history and archaeology.
